| Drop
anchor at our air conditioned bed and breakfast . Enjoy
the casual, quiet atmosphere, knowing you are just a gangplank
away from the harbor, shopping, sightseeing, parks, pubs and
restaurants. Our Inn is the closest B & B to the
downtown area.
The Anchor Inn is vintage Put-in-Bay. The quaint bungalow style home was
built around 1910, and features a
tabby stucco exterior. Our inn offers a wonderful full
length screened porch and four charming guest rooms each with a private bath.
On weekdays we offer a generous continental breakfast, or a self-serve full breakfast. Weekends we serve a full, hot home cooked breakfast in either the dining room or 'al fresco' in the garden gazebo.
Enjoy the private
gardens - rest, read or watch many of the migratory birds
that travel through the islands.

"Aunt Amelia" Heineman
Heuckle (of the Heineman Winery Family) and her husband "Grunt"
Heuckle lived here in the 30's and 40's. The home remains
true to the original style during the past eighty some years,
and is listed with The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society.
Step
off the front porch, and you are less than a two minute
walk to downtown and the harbor, and some of the best food
and drink that Put-in-Bay has to offer.
An adjacent family-style
cottage sleeps up to six guests - see the 'Wee Anchor'
page.
