The

Anchor Inn

A Quaint Bed and Breakfast

Located in the heart of Lake Erie

Put-in-Bay, OHIO

" Where do the impressions begin? The peaceful, cool, comfortable porch enables visitors to step back in time while watching a virtual parade of Norman Rockwell's characters. The living room library, easy to the eye after so much sun, is restful and offers mental stimulation. Breakfast is a delight, and my bed was exceptionally comfortable."

ITS SO EASY TO...

drop anchor at our air conditioned bed and breakfast .  Enjoy the casual, quiet atmosphere, knowing you are just a gangplank away from the harbor, shopping, sightseeing, parks, pubs and restaurants.  Our Inn is the closest B & B to the downtown area.
The Anchor Inn is vintage Put-in-Bay.  The quaint bungalow style home was built around 1917, and features oak trim throughout and a tabby stucco exterior.  Our inn offers a wonderful full length screened porch and three charming guest rooms.  We also feature a home cooked breakfast which is served in either the dining room, the front or back porch, or 'al fresco' in the garden gazebo.
Enjoy the private gardens - rest, read or watch many of the migratory birds that travel through the islands.

"Aunt Amelia" Heineman Heuckle (of the Heineman Winery Family) and her husband "Grunt" Heuckle lived here in the 30's and 40's.   The home remains true to the original style during the past eighty some years, and is listed with The Lake Erie Islands Historical Society.
Step off the front porch, and you are less than a three minute walk to downtown and the harbor, and some of the best food and drink that Put-in-Bay has to offer.
An adjacent family-style cottage sleeps up to eight guests - see the 'Wee Anchor' page.
